What inspired you to join? I saw my first bout at age 10 and immediately knew that I wanted to play one day. It only took me 13 years to get up the courage, but going to my first day of Learn To Skate Derby was the best decision I've made for myself in a long time. I also might have wanted to impress my crush or whatever.

How did you come up with your derby name? Bug has always been a nickname that my mom calls me, and i wanted it to be a warning that Bug Bites!!!

Favorite pre- or post-derby snacks? Water!!!!!!

What advice would you give someone who is considering joining a roller derby league? Do it!!! Learning a really difficult skill is SO rewarding. Yes, it's hard, AND its absolutely attainable. It will strengthen your brain, and your body, and fill your heart with so much pride! It will give you more confidence, and help you take up the space that's yours! I honestly couldn't recommend it more, everyone should do derby.
