Home to the Appalachian Hell Betties and the Black Diamond Betties, Athens Ohio Roller Derby brings the fierce, fun, and inclusive sport of roller derby to Southeastern Ohio. Founded in 2010, we're a skater-owned and operated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization built on the values of empowerment, community, and resilience.

Celebrating Our SWEET 16th Season!

This milestone year brought five home bouts to Athens Community Center, and we're grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate 16 years of fast, fierce, community-powered derby with us. While our home bouts have wrapped for the year, our season isn't over — we're gearing up for our final tournament in September and diving into Learn to Skate Derby, community outreach, and everything else that keeps AORD moving.
