What inspired you to join? I had been watching AORD for years and loved coming to bouts. I have also known Vodka Tonic almost my whole life and she invited me to come to learn to skate! At the time I was looking to get back into working out and why not add some competition in there also.

What song should play whenever you step on the derby track/into the derby bout? Upset by Nic D

How did you come up with your derby name? My derby name is a fun spin on my government name. I wanted something that sounded intimidating but also was meaningful.

Favorite pre- or post-derby snacks? Pre derby snack: bagel with cream cheese or chocolate chip muffins; post-derby snack: fruit snacks, chips, or any form of carbs

What advice would you give someone who is considering joining a roller derby league? Just do it. You may have a specific thing that interest you about derby like getting active, becoming competitive again, looking cool, etc. But once you get started in derby it will change all areas of your life for the better. Friendships, physical strength, mental growth, leadership opportunities, self-confidence, getting rooted on your community, etc.
